It’s the year 2000. Zultan Cymbals is but a seed freshly planted. What started as a visionary project at the turn of the millennium has since evolved and blossomed throughout the years into a globally recognized brand name. Born out of passion for exceptional cymbal work and a dream to make premium build more accessible, Zultan has spent more than two decades on a mission possible to redefine the metal work that goes into making the ultimate cymbal. It all began with an air of secrecy.

Nameless and naked, the very first cymbals were introduced at the Frankfurt Music Trade Fair. Only completely unbranded could drummers evaluate the instruments without any prejudice. So origin and marker were kept secret. It was an experiment that paid off. The response was an overwhelming green light and proved that these were symbols that could hold their own. When it came to the official market debut, Zultan forged a radically new path. Deciding to offer cymbals exclusively online drew widespread skepticism at the time. Zultan became the first brand in Germany to offer high-quality audio samples directly within online product descriptions.

This groundbreaking move occurred long before YouTube existed, setting a new industry standard for the digital age. The journey started with the Rock Beat series, a debut line that laid the foundation. Over the years, Zultan expanded its repertoire, utilising Meticulous steps, from casting and hand hammering to milling and polishing, drawing from the expertise of traditional Turkish artisans. The catalog grew. Powerful lines like the Q and F5 series were named after the destructive force of tornadoes and brought explosive volume to the stage. Zultan pushed manufacturing boundaries with rare B25 bronze for its CS series.

The visually striking RAW series was introduced in 2016, leaving cymbals un-milled after elaborate hammering. From the dry, open feel of the Dune series, the introduction of the Ellarius or the 30% quieter Mellow series. The range grew to satisfy every artistic voice. In 2025, Zultan proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary under the motto, “Crafted from Heritage, Tuned for Tomorrow”. To mark a quarter of a century of dedication, a special 25 series was launched.
