Miguel Lamas (Ferrol/Spain, 1993) is a Latin Grammy award-winning drummer who has been playing drums since the age of 4.
Since childhood, he has been involved not only in the world of live music but also in studio sessions. His first show was at the age of 6 in his town. Two years later, he performed his first paid show playing rock & roll. At the age of 14, he appeared in his first tour of Europe, with a band called Bellón Maceiras Quinteto, playing in some of the biggest folk & world music festivals.
After a few years, Miguel has played in some of the biggest drum festivals around the world, like the Meinl Drum Festival (Germany), The UK Drumshow (Manchester), Bag’Show (Paris), TamTam Drum Festival (2015/2019), Alteisa Drum Festival, Galician Drumming Festival, La Rioja Drumfest (Spain) Drum, Festival Switzerland, Meinl Drum Day / Scottish Drumming, Festival (Scotland), Porto Drumshow (Portugal), Musik Produktive Mess (Germany), NAMM Show (USA) Pearl Drum, Day (Venlo, The Netherlands), just to name a few, in addition to many clinics around Spain, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Argentina, Perú and Guatemala.
He has worked with some of the biggest names in the latin-pop industry both live and studio like: Melendi, Dani Martín, Malú, Manuel, Carrasco, Pablo Alborán, Maldita Nerea, Carlos Rivera, Amaia Montero, Abraham Mateo, David DeMaría, Antonio Orozco, Álvaro de Luna, Pedro Guerra, Bustamante, Merche, Alex Ubago, Miriam Rodriguez, O’Funk’illo, and Iñigo Quintero.
