LS Custom Drums is a Belgian drum craft boutique specializing in the design and construction of exclusive, handcrafted drums . Since 2017, we have combined traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to create instruments that deliver an exceptional sound while reflecting the personality, playing style, and visual preferences of each drummer.
Every drum is custom-built in our own workshop, with close attention to detail throughout the entire process. We primarily work with solid wood stave and segmented shells, carefully selecting, shaping, gluing, turning, and finishing every individual piece of wood. These construction methods allow us to achieve distinctive tonal characteristics, exceptional projection, and unique combinations of wood species and designs that are rarely possible with standard mass-produced drums.
Customization is at the heart of everything we do. From the choice of wood, shell dimensions, thickness, and construction method to bearing edges, snare beds, hardware, finishes, and decorative details, every element can be tailored to the customer’s requirements. We work with both traditional and exotic wood species, combining natural beauty with carefully considered acoustic properties.
In addition to our wooden shells, we continuously develop custom components and original design features. These include handmade wooden and brass parts, CNC-machined patterns, engraved details, decorative inlays, and unique surface finishes. This approach gives each LS Custom Drum its own identity and ensures that no two instruments are ever exactly the same.
Alongside the construction of custom snare drums and complete drum kits, we also provide professional repairs, restorations, and upgrades. Our services include replacing drum wrap, recutting bearing edges, adjusting or shortening shells, upgrading hardware, restoring wooden finishes, and carefully bringing vintage drums back to their former glory.
We believe that a drum should be more than just a musical instrument. It should be a personal and lasting piece of craftsmanship—an instrument that feels inspiring to play, performs reliably, and becomes part of the musician’s own story.
