digitalDrummer Hall of Famer Steven Fisher has been involved in all aspects of e-drums – from product development to demonstration and training, marketing and management.

Fisher’s latest achievement has been developing and launching the MZ928 flagship kit for Hong Kong music giant Medeli, where he serves as drums product director.

Prior to that, Fisher was director of the drum and percussion division at Yamaha US, overseeing the drums and percussion business.

However, his most significant contributions were at Roland between 1990 and 2013.

Fisher has also enjoyed performance success, performing and recording with the likes of Maynard Ferguson, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, David Clayton-Thomas/Blood Sweat & Tears, David Foster and Dizzy Gillespie, and playing on fine-tuning your sound – exploring the stock patches and editing sounds on Medeli’s flagship drum module.

After showing the versatility of e-drums at last year’s Labs, Steven will use his session to reveal some things most drummers didn’t know an electronic drum set could do, including how to get the sounds they’re looking for – fast!

Steven will be using the Medeli MZ928 flagship e-kit.
