One of Germany’s busiest drummers, Dirk Brand is a regular at international drum festivals and has worked with famous artists like Charlie Mariano, Kal David,
Gloria Gaynor, Marty Friedman and Al Copley.

His versatility sees him as the cornerstone of German metal group Axxis while also performing in the pit for musicals like Evita and Hair and joining the Gregor Hilden Organ Trio at Blues Festivals all over Europe.

For many years, he was the face of Roland V-Drums in Europe and has also demonstrated Pearl electronic drums at various festivals.
Dirk Brand will use his session at the E-drum Labs to show the versatility of electronic drums.

Using a range of products from various manufacturers, he will explain his approach to drum sounds, choosing samples appropriate to the genre and tweaking them for dynamics and expression.

We will see in live performance the expertise Brand has demonstrated for many years as an author and contributor to publications like Drum&Percussion, where he penned a monthly column on Electronic and Hybrid Drumming, and to digitalDrummer magazine, where he shared his tips on playing e-drums with brushes.
