Riccardo Merlini is an Italian drummer, educator, clinician, author, and content creator.

He is internationally recognised for his extraordinary hand speed, technical precision, and modern approach to drumming.

Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous Italian artists, producers, and recording studios, while building an international career as a performer and educator.

Riccardo has been featured as a clinician at some of Europe’s leading drum festivals, including Silesia Drum Festival, Alteisa Drum Fest, and Dresden Drum & Bass Festival, and has presented clinics and masterclasses worldwide. His international appearances include clinics and educational events at Berklee College of Music (Boston), Musicians Institute (Los Angeles), Drummers Collective (New York), as well as performances and masterclasses in drum shops, schools, and music institutions across Europe, North America, and beyond.

He is the author of the internationally distributed book and educational video course “The Killer Speed Secret”, a complete method dedicated to developing hand speed, endurance, control, and efficiency for drummers of every level.

Riccardo has also been featured by Drumeo, the world’s leading online drum education platform, where two of his videos have achieved outstanding international reach. In addition, he has released an exclusive educational course available on the Drumeo platform.

As the founder and organizer of Drumzilla, Riccardo hosts two international drum camps every year in Italy. The Drumzilla Drum Camp has become one of the most internationally attended drum camps in Europe, bringing together world-renowned artists and participants from across the globe for an immersive educational experience.
